Zip-lining thrills for Banif Bank staff and friends

Monday, 1 June 2015, 14:40 Last update: about 10 years ago

Banif Bank staff and friends went on an unforgettable zip-lining thrill, organised by the Emergency Fire and Rescue Unit (EFRU) in aid of Right2Smile.

Set in the awe-inspiring surroundings of Miġra l-Ferħa, those after an adrenaline rush were in for a treat as they zipped over a terrifying sheer drop from one cliff to another. The weather was sunny and pleasantly breezy as the participants were able to take in the stunning cliffside views before gearing up and taking the plunge.

"There's no doubt that it's totally safe but you can't help feeling that rush once your feet leave the ground" said Edward Cachia, member of the Banif Sports and Social Committee responsible for organising the event. "It was amusing to see some of our colleagues who are usually so serious and collected in the office, scream their lungs out when their turn came! That's what's so great about events like these... our team has a good time and gets more tightly-knit whilst collecting funds for a very deserving cause."
