A 30-year-old Bulgarian man was stabbed in a St Julians Hotel last night, suffering serious injuries.
District Police were informed about the case by the Mater Dei A&E Department. The stabbing took place at the hotel in Triq il-Kbira, St Julians.
The man was stabbed in the neck. The police said in a statement that, althought the proper facts had not yet been established, it was alleged tha the man was assaulted during an argument outside an establishment in Triq Wilga. He then walked injured to the hotel where he was staying and asked for assistance.
The victim was ferried to Mater Dei Hospital by Ambulance where he was certified to be suffering from serious injuries. Police investigations are ongoing.
