PN MP Toni Bezzina today urged the government to stop and listen, not only to what the Opposition has to say but also to environmental NGOs and to society as a whole.
Speaking in parliament on the Strategic Plan for the Environment and Development (SPED), Bezzina reminded parliament that “we are discussing a plan for the environment for us and generations to come”.
“We cannot afford to do any mistakes since this will have irreversible effects,” he continued.
Quoting an excerpt of an article published in The Architect which is produced by the Chamber of Advocates... ‘one thing cannot be denied, that it is important for all players to come together to formulate a policy which addresses the concerns of society as a whole.
‘Failing to do this, it will be a policy which only addresses the needs of the political class.’
