Transport Malta today said that Triq Birkirkara St. Julian’s will be closed to vehicular traffic on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th June 2015 between 1900hrs and 0600hrs. Resurfacing works on trenching will be carried out following works on the laying of water main by the Water Services Corporation. Scarifying works will be carried out during the day. No road closure will take place during the day but drivers are advised to proceed with caution.

Traffic Diversions at night

All vehicular traffic proceeding from San Ġwann towards Tas-Sliema will be diverted onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Triq Reggie Miller and Rue D’Argens. Vehicular traffic coming from Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli will proceed towards the tunnel direction to Tas-sliema and to Triq Reggie Miller.

All vehicular traffic coming from Triq l-Imrabat Tas-Sliema towards Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann will be diverted onto Triq is-Sorijiet and Triq il-Qalb Imqaddsa.  Traffic from Triq l-Imrabat Tas-Sliema towards Triq it-Torri will be diverted onto Triq il-Kulleġġ.

Public Transport

All buses coming from Rue D’Argens will be diverted onto Triq Reggie Miller, Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Triq Birkirkara and proceed with the normal route.

All buses coming from Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann will be diverted onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Triq Reggie Miller, Rue D’Argens  and proceed with the normal route.
