The Environmental Landscapes Consortium (ELC) has been awarded a certificate of excellence by TripAdvisor for the Upper Barrakka Gardens.

The public garden, one of the most popular with locals and tourists alike, has been under the care of the public private partnership since 2002.

A spokesperson for the ELC said the company was doing all that was possible to ensure that all areas under its responsibility in Malta and Gozo are kept in the best possible condition. More than two million flower plants are planted in gardens, roundabouts and arterial roads every year.

The ELC said the certificate was being awarded to it thanks to the dedication and professionalism of its employees. The company invests thousands of euro on continuous training to its workers, making sure they are always up to date with the latest landscaping practices.
