A plastic surgeon today ordered to pay €29,000 after Court finds he negligently performed buttock augmentation surgery.

The Italian plastic surgeon, Marcello Stella, had performed the surgery on Venerie Falzon, promising her a "Brazilian butt".

Ms Falzon told the Court she war referred to Dr Stella by a local doctor. The surgery was carried out however she was not pleased with the results.

She underwent another operation called an adipose tissue sculpture. The patient developed an infection and Dr Stella had to perform surgery again, this time at no cost to the patient.

The Court heard how Dr Stella assured his client that the surgery would be successful, however the Court appointed surgeon found that Dr Stella was negligent.
