Reacting from Beijing during his visit to China on the outcome of the Euro Summit, PN Leader Simon Busuttil said : “Last night’s Euro summit confirms that people need responsible leaders that provide solutions, and not populist leaders who take their country to the brink. Populism gets you nowhere.”

“I welcome the final agreement and our attention must now turn to making sure it is respected by the Greek Government. This is important for Greece, but also important for us, because we are part of the Eurozone,” Dr Busuttil said.

Dr Busuttil added that : “There is no doubt that the road is long, but at least, now Greece has accepted to carry its responsibility in return for the solidarity that we are extending to the Greek people.”
