Man denies robbing two Birkirkara shops and violating conditions of suspended sentence

A 25-year-old man today denied robbing two shops in Birkirkara on Sunday night. 

Annise Bejaoui, from Dingli, was accused of stealing a number of items from Shoemarket and Martina's. 

He was also accused of violating the conditions laid down in two previous court cases. 

No request for bail was filed by legal aid lawyer Patrick Valentino. 

Magistrate Neville Camilleri recommended that Bejaoui by kept under arrest at the forensic ward at Mount Carmel Hospital. 

Inspectors John Spiteri and Luke Bonello prosecuted.
