A man today admitted to stealing three laptops and a number of other items from the Refugee Commission’s office in Msida.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke remanded Terence Vella, 33, in custody pending the compilation of a pre-sentencing report.

Vella, a repeat offender, also pleaded guilty to relapsing.

Defence lawyer Simon Micallef Stafrace said his client filed a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity and asked the court to appoint a probation office in order to put together a report before judgement is handed down.
