In one of the most unlikely goals of the year, and a certain candidate for "goal of the year," ADO Den Haag goalkeeper Martin Hansen scored on a behind-the-back volley in the final minute of stoppage time. The shocking goal helped the Eredivisie club to draw with league titans PSV Eindhoven in the season opener at Kyocera Stadion in The Hague on Tuesday, 2-2.
Off a free kick, Hansen was in the penalty box in a last-ditch effort to equalize. The 25-year-old Dane used his right foot for a backheel flick to get the ball past three PSV players and beyond the reach of his counterpart goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet in the 95th minute. It was Hansen's first ever professional goal.
