Galaxy Ice-Cream has undertaken a campaign to help fight Breast Cancer Awareness in the Maltese Islands by raising funds for the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation Malta.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and accounts for the largest number of cancer-related deaths in women in Europe, as well as a fraction of males. Action for Breast Cancer Foundation Malta is a Voluntary Organisation that's campaigning for a quality assured service in order to diagnose and treat breast cancer in Malta and Gozo. The Foundation works hard lobbying for better services and treatment for breast cancer patients. It also strives to increase awareness through promoting and educating the general public. By means of a screening programme, cancer can be diagnosed sooner, leading to more effective treatment and can thus save more lives.

Helping the foundation to raise more money is simple - just follow these three steps:

1.                   Obtain something pink (could be attire, background, accessories, etc.)

2.                   Take a photo of yourself showing the Galaxy Ice-Cream wrapper

3.                   Send us your photo together with your contact details to [email protected]

Francis Busuttil & Sons (Marketing) Ltd. is the local importing company for Galaxy Ice-Creams, and has offered to donate €1 to the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation Malta for every photo they receive that follow the above guidelines. In addition, weekly goodies will be given to randomly selected participants! The campaign closes end of September.
