MedAsia, one of Malta's leading entertainment venues in Malta, celebrated its fifth anniversary during an event held late last month in their Sliema venue.

As its name implies, MedAsia is a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian style and dining. The food at MedAsia reflects this theme with a vast menu taking influences from Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine and rounded with a variety of Mediterranean dishes and an array of cocktails that are the house speciality.

Giovanni Mugliett, the brainchild behind the brand said: "When we opened our doors five years ago, we wanted people to come to our venues to experience something out of the ordinary, a new    entertainment experience through our specially designed menus, the music, the atmosphere and of course our cocktails which are today a signature of MedAsia."

The concept was an inspiration of various elements from travelling to various destinations in both Asia and Europe. This has also led to the natural launch of  MedAsia Playa, the second venue, two years ago which has become a firm favourite destination in the summer months with high-end parties and group events happening every week, the most recent one being an exclusive MTV party hosted by MTV Germany.

Managing directors Daniel Farrugia and Giovanni Mugliett said that it has been an exciting and challenging five years since they opened their doors and there are a few exciting plans in the pipeline for MedAsia in the future.
