A 17-year-old today was charged with stealing a bag belonging to a bus driver.

The young man, originating from Egypt but residing in Fgura, stole the bag while he was on the bus. A search by the police later revealed he had the driver's belongings - the value of which do not exceed €232. 

After pleading not guilty, he was released on bail against a personal guarantee of €1,300. 

Magistrate Anthony Vella ordered that the young man is supervised by a probation officer.
