UHM challenges parliamentary secretary for health to meet hospital workers

Tuesday, 1 September 2015, 09:46 Last update: about 12 years ago

Government has no intention of given due consideration to the rights of professionals and other workers in the privatisation exercise for the Gozo General Hospital, St Luke’s Hospital and Karin Grech Hospital, the UHM said in a statement.

This emerged from meetings the union held with the Ministry for Health and Energy, the UHM said.

The UHM added that it understands the needs of the patients, but this should not be at the expense of the hospital employees.

The union challenged the parliamentary secretary for health to meet the workers in the presence of union officials for him to answer questions raised by the employees.
