The Drugs Squad arrested six men last night for after finding them in possession of suspicious substances.

Police, along with the Dogs Section, conducted raids around St Julian's after days of observation, and the six men, from Malta, Italy and Somalia, were arrested.

The suspects were found in possession of substances thought to be cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy

The suspects are assisting the police in further investigations however they could possibly be arraigned in court over the coming days for aggravated possession and trafficking.

Investigations are ongoing.
