Benna recalls some milk batches but assures customers there is no health hazard

As a precautionary measure the Malta Dairy Products Ltd is calling on consumers in possession of a carton of milk with the following batch codes

·         Milk 2.5% fat 1Litre (Blue carton) with this batch code;

LZ2461500 to LZ2461700 – Date of Expiry WED 09/09

LX2461500 to LX2461700 – Date of Expiry WED 09/09

LZ2470600 to LZ2470810 – Date of Expiry WED 09/09       

 

·         Skimmed Milk 1 Litre (Green carton) with this batch code;

LY2471010 to LY2471320 – Date of Expiry WED 09/09

LY2471321 to LY2471520 – Date of Expiry FRI 11/09

LZ2471320 to LZ2471520 – Date of Expiry FRI 11/09

 

to return the product from the shop where it was bought, so that it can be exchanged. 

This is being done as a particular taste was identified in one of the Company’s supplier’s milk during various routine tests carried out by the company.

The tests carried out on the milk provided by this supplier, have revealed there are no health hazards.

The Malta Dairy Products wishes to apologise for the inconvenience this incident could have caused and once again would like to reassure consumers that the milk has no health hazards.
