Luan Demiri, 22, of Albania was imprisoned for six months after admitting to having had a false Bulgarian ID card in his possession.
The arrest was made on 5 September.
Immigration Police Inspector Darren Buhagiar while lawyer Simon Micallef Stafrace defended the accused. Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit presided over the case.
