Transport Minister Joe Mizzi will be flying to South Korea today to take part in the symposium on Eurasia Transport and Logistics Network, Seamless Eurasia: Making Connections.
In Seoul, the minister will be having talks with the metropolitan government which recently developed a comprehensive strategy on traffic aimed to reduce congestion.
This plan is targeted to reduce the use of private cars by 30%, to reduce the public transport time by 30% and to increase use of transport that does not pollute by 30%.
Mr Mizzi said that this is similar to the Maltese government’s work in the transport sector.
