Daniela Spiteri, 33, of St Julians was handed a six-month jail sentence suspended for three years after pleading guilty to shoplifting.
The theft took place from a fashion outlet at Baystreet Complex, St Julians yesterday at 4.30 p.m. She stole €135 worth of clothes.
Her lawyer, MarkMifsud Cutajar, told the court that she stole the items to finance her drug habit.
Police Inspector Matthew Spagnol prosecuted.
