President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca this morning thanked One Productions, the station owned by the Labour Party, for the fund-raising telethon that was organised in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund on Wednesday.

The sum collected during the event reached €41,440.76.

Dr Coleiro Preca thanked the Maltese for their generosity.

During the event, there was a telephone intervention by the Labour Party whip, Godfrey Farrugia, who is in London where he will be undergoing surgery.
