Renowned authority of Indian cuisine to present taster menu in Malta

Vivek Singh, owner of London's The Cinnamon Club restaurant, and a renowned authority on Indian cuisine will be presenting a unique taster menu with wine pairings in Malta on Sunday, 20 September.

The event, organised by The Cooking Club, will take place at TemptAsian restaurant at The Palace Hotel in Sliema. An Evening with Vivek Singh will start with a welcome reception at 7.30pm which will feature signature cocktails from The Cinnamon Club. Dinner service will start at 8pm.

The menu will include cured salmon carpaccio with green pea chutney and Bengal puffed rice, Grilled king prawns with coconut curry sauce, Rajasthani spiced tandoori rabbit tikka, sweetcorn curry, chickpea bread, cumin and chilli crusted seared beef, morel and pea stir-fry, saffron sauce and Garam masala sticky toffee pudding, carrot fudge and clove ice cream. A full vegetarian menu is also available.

In addition to The Cinnamon Club, which reopened on 10 September after extensive refurbishment, Singh owns Cinnamon Kitchen in the City of London and Cinnamon Soho. His refined approach to Indian cuisine has changed the perception of Indian food in the UK and his success and reputation has continued to grow with the publication of five cookbooks, media appearances and a regular guest slot on BBC's Saturday Kitchen.
