Labour Party whip Godfrey Farrugia is set to be discharged from the High Dependency Unit of a London hospital after the operation he underwent yesterday.

Writing on Facebook, Dr Farrugia said that yesterday’s surgery went well and he will soon be taken to a ward. Later on, after the histology report, he will be told whether he needs more treatment, he said.

The Labour MP, typical of his positive character, also uploaded a photo taken 12 years ago (being reproduced here), showing him with his partner Marlene Farrugia, saying that although he has grown older, he intends to get back as strong as he was that time.

Labour MP Godfrey Farrugia on Tuesday underwent a delicate operation in a London hospital after the Zebbug doctor was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer last month.
