Unions who represent hospital staff were invited to visit the new oncology centre at Mater Dei Hospital, where they were met by parliamentary secretary for health Chris Fearne.
The unions involved were the Medical Association of Malta, the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses, the General Workers Union and the Union Haddiema Maghqudin.
