Considerable damage was caused to two factories in San Gwann which caught fire this morning, the police said.
The fire developed in one of the factories at 5am, and the blaze extended to a second factory nearby.
Nobody was in any of the two factories at the time.
Members of the Civil Protection Department were on site to control the fire.
