A radio DJ has been fired by the PN’s media organisation for insensitive comments made about yesterday’s accident at the annual Paqpaqli ghal-Istrina fundraising event.

Over 20 people were injured when the driver of a Porsche supercar lost control and careened into the crowd.

DJ Lito posted a comment on Facebook saying ‘Ifqghani ghall-Istrina’ (Smash me for Istrina)

In a statement, Media.link Communications said it has terminated the services of radio DJ Lito, who presented a programme on Radio 101.

Media.Link expressed its solidarity with the victims and their family members during this difficult time.

DJ Lito has since removed the offending comment and apologised for his comments.
