MZPN’s #LendaHand campaign raises €1,400 for Dr Klown Malta

Monday, 12 October 2015, 16:17 Last update: about 12 years ago

Dr Klown representatives received a €1,400 donation from the PN youths section MZPN after delivering an information session on voluntary work as part of the MZPN Weekender Annual live-in.

This amount was raised through the MZPN stand at the Independence Day activities as part of MZPN's recently launched #LendaHand campaign. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of social responsibility among youths and to expose youths to the value of giving back to society through various volunteering opportunities.

Dr Klown is a relatively new voluntary organisation in Malta which is aimed at providing clown doctor services to children and their families undergoing care and treatment at Mater Dei Hospital. Popularised by the film Patch Adams, clown doctors are intended to spread smiles and cheers throughout the challenging times faced by young patients. It is an organisation which has so far brought together a substantial group of youth volunteers.

MZPN thanks all its members who helped during the Independence Day activities, with particular gratitude towards E-Cabs, V & C Contractors, ESS Lighting Mriehel, Frank Zampa Jewellery and PCM Legal for doubling the amount collected. MZPN encourages youths to follow suit and join the cause.
