A man was today charged in court for breaching his bail conditions after he called the police warning that he was going to kill a 30-year-old man who he claims has been pimping out his underage daughter.
Jesmond Azzopardi, who is facing separate proceedings for threatening his daughter with a kitchen knife, denied breaching his bail conditions by committing another crime.
He told the court that his daughter has been forced into prostitution by her boyfriend, who is acting as her pimp.
Defence lawyer Toni Abela said his client had merely called the police and had not threatened anyone.
The prosecution argued that the man posed a danger to his daughter and her boyfriend.
The man was granted bail.
