The standards of the Prime Minister are among the worst in Maltese political history, the Nationalist Party said in a press release issued today.
Prime Minister Muscat is leading a cabinet that is riddled with scandals, with ministers and parliamentary secretaries facing grave accusations, it said.
Dr Muscat has done absolutely nothing with regard to parliamentary secretary Michael Falzon who was personally involved in the Gaffarena scandal, Minister Chris Cardona who was living in an apartment that belongs to a prominent business man, parliamentary secretary Ian Borg who has had grave accusations brought against him about the abuse of an elderly person and lastly Minister Konrad Mizzi who was personally involved in hedging agreements that resulted in the loss of €14 million, said the PN.
Dr Muscat’s personal and direct involvement in the Cafe Premier scandal was also highlighted.
Due to the above inactivity with regard to the numerous scandals, Dr Muscat has completely lost all credibility when speaking about good governance, especially with regard to the promises made prior to the election, they said.
