Former Juventus player indicted on charges of ‘Ndrangheta connections

Former Juventus player Vincenzo Iaquinta has been indicted by an Italian court on charges of association with the ‘Ndrangheta criminal organization, Italian news agency ANSA is reporting.

The former attacker, who was crowned world champions with Italy in 2006, is answering to charges of possession of weapons, with the aggravating circumstance that he was acting in association with a criminal organisation.

The trial is being held in Bologna.

Iaquinta’s father Giuseppe is also charged with participating in criminal activities.
