Monday, 28 December 2015, 11:40 Last update: about 9 years ago

Next month's Japanese Impressions paintings exhibition is the fourth of its kind being organised by Rin Terada from Shamane, Japan, with the help of Berlin-based Tomoko Germar, Joseph Barbara from Malta and sponsored by IMS Create, of Tokyo, Japan.

Cavalieri Art Hotel will be hosting the exhibition in its spacious Renoir and Monet galleries.

Around 100 paintings will be exhibited, representing a wide spectrum of Japanese Art executed by well established and new young artists, and for the first time, 30 Maltese artists have been invited to present 60 works combining Mediterranean and Asian concepts and culture.

The styles differ from traditional to avant-garde and modern paintings.

For the first time the Maltese guest artists taking part in this fabulous exhibition are being invited to exhibit one of their works in Sumida Riverside Hall, Tokyo, Japan in April, thanks to IMS Create, a Tokyo-based company promoting art and culture in several countries.

Justice, Culture and the Local Government Minister Owen Bonnici will be inaugurating the exhibition on 15 January and the exhibition will run until 10 February.

The exhibition will be open to the public all day, every day.
