This week 2016 MCAST and QP Management Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will see both parties collaborate to develop a joint initiative in the field of the construction industry.
QP Management Limited is a leading integrated design, engineering and management services firm with extensive industry experience in the construction sector.
This collaborative agreement will contribute significantly to address the labour supply and skill sets needed by the construction industry as well as address the skills gap within the workforce employed in this important sector of the economy. MCAST and QP Management Limited will work together strategically to ensure clear identification of the industry objectives during the next years and plan to provide the right competences and knowledge needed to address these goals. This collaboration will work closely with the contractors, developers, industry suppliers, and guidance services in schools and will act to assist the industry attract new generation human resource players that come forward as a result of a strong career choice.
MCAST Board of Governors President Dr Silvio De Bono underscored the importance of this agreement for the construction industry as it would help address the current skills gap within the workforce of this industry. Mr Stephen Cachia, Principal and CEO MCAST, mentioned the importance of this area of study at MCAST and stated that this collaboration will help the College to keep up-to-date and adjourned with developments within this fast-growing industry. He stated that this is also another step to further develop standards and quality within this industry.
QP Management Limited CEO David Xuereb explained how his firm has extensive experience within the construction sector in Malta as well as across the globe in various jurisdictions including but not limited to mainland Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia, North and Sub-Saharan Africa.
