Highlight Media Group recently lent a helping hand to ongoing conservation works at Wied Ghollieqa Nature Reserve managed by Nature Trust (Malta).

Over 60 members of staff contributed their time and energy to work on various site projects at the nature reserve such as the repair of rubble walls, control of alien species and maintenance of footpaths, among other tasks.

Highlight Media Group also presented a donation of €1,000 towards Nature Trust (Malta)'s work at the Nature Reserve, as well as for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. The cheque was presented to the Wied Ghollieqa Nature Reserve site manager Marie Louise Bajada.

The executive president Vincent Attard thanked all the staff from Highlight Media Group for their help and support in the conservation of ecological sites.  He said Nature Trust (Malta) works hard to protect sites to leave such areas for all to enjoy. Their mission is to protect green areas which are essential for healthy air in Malta's over-populated island, and which contribute to the islands economy and well-being. Mr Attard stated: "It is a noble act to see companies like Highlight Media Group contributing specifically to a better environment and sustainable development by helping NGOs that are working hard to achieve these goals." Mr Attard thanked the staff for the donation to Wied Ghollieqa Nature Reserve and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre project.

Karen Sullivan, office manager from Highlight Media Group thanked Nature Trust for the opportunity to work up close with nature through an event that also created awareness and appreciation for the diversity of the natural habitat we have on our islands.  The team at Highlight Media enjoyed getting their hands dirty and letting off steam and will be assisting further in various projects and events in the future.
