Actor Tom Cruise arrived in Malta earlier today to scout locations for his new film - a remake of the adventure horror film The Mummy. 

Shooting of the film is expected to in summer.

Mr Cruise is expected to leave Malta on Saturday morning.

The world-renowned actor has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards.
