Live what you love

It has become a yearly tradition for Frank Salt Real Estate to treat its top performers to an exclusive incentive trip to an exotic or lavish destination. 2016 has been no different, with 11 members packing their bags for an all-inclusive 8-day trip off the beaten track to Malaysia.

This opportunity took the team to some of Malaysia's most remarkable natural landmarks, which culminated in a 2-day safari deep in the jungle, at Taman Negara, the world's oldest tropical rainforest, with plantation dating to over 130 million years ago.

The group, consisting of Paul Bondin (Sales Consultant, Fgura branch), Matthew Vella Critien (, Sales Consultant, Fgura branch), Sandra Jaccarini (Manager's Assistant, HR department), Rita K Schembri (Commercial Property Division Manager), Vanessa Grech Lupi (Marketing Executive), Simone Magri (Letting Consultant, Sliema Branch), Maria Vella (Letting Consultant, Marsascala Branch), George Vassallo (Manager, Sliema Branch), Julian Caruana (Senior Sales Consultant, Sliema branch), Aaron Borg (Senior Sales Consultant, St Julian's branch) were accompanied by Darren DeDomenico (Chief Operations Officer) and Grahame Salt (Director).

Other stops included visits to Batu Caves, the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, White-water rafting along the Kampar River. The trip also included an element of glitz with a short stay in Kuala Lampur at the iconic Petronas Towers

The trip also included its fair share of brainstorming sessions, key meetings and planning exercises - all of which will be relayed to the rest of the Frank Salt team in the coming weeks as part of the company's on-going development strategy. These meetings covered several topics and operational areas. Aspects discussed included the improvement of the customer experience for clients buying or renting a property through Frank Salt, as well as the provision of a more comprehensive service to vendors and landlords who entrust the company with their property.

Additionally, the team discussed internal marketing and how best to empower and assist the sales and letting consultants to become more effective and productive, and how to be innovative within the ever-changing real estate field.

"This incentive trip is also an excellent means for members of our team to get to know each other and work closely to provide a better service to our clients." Says Grahame Salt, "The idea is to select workers from the various tiers within the company, including managers, consultants, sales and letting staff, administrative personnel and secretaries, and to reward them with an incredible vacation. Meanwhile, this will also encourage them to feed their ideas into the general running of the company, helping it to constantly grow and improve."

Asked about her experience, Rita Schembri said "It was a very rewarding experience.  Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest is a unique sensation.  Meeting the indigenous people and learning first- hand how they live and literally source all their needs from the rain forest is truly an enriching experience.  Above all brain storming in such unique locations seems to stimulate the brain and all participants were truly at ease and giving their maximum.   Ultimately a treat to us all and goes to show that Frank Salt truly appreciates and rewards loyalty and talent."

Simone Magri shared Rita's views. "The incentive trip was a wonderful surprise for me and an amazing gesture of appreciation from the company's top Management which has served to motivate me further."

With three new branches opening in Mosta, Cospicua and Ibragg, and ongoing expansion at a number of other branches, the company is investing further in recruiting the best talent the industry has to offer. This is reflected not only in the attractive remuneration that the company offers to its team of consultants, but also in the environment and culture that Frank Salt Real Estate endorses. No other agency in Malta or Gozo offers the level of support that Malta's leading agency offers, aimed at helping it's team - whether industry veterans, or people still starting out in real estate - to prosper and grow.
