The fact that Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi put every responsibility of his political future in the hands of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat shows that Muscat is totally to blame for the corruption crisis the country is facing, the Nationalist Party said in a statement follwoing Dr Mizzi's speech to the Labour Party's General Council.
The country cannot withstand such an uncertain future, for which Muscat carried all responsibility. Not even this evening did the PM have the courage to sack Konrad Mizzi and his other close friend Keith Schembri, who is also under fire for the Panamagate scandal, said the PN.
"The Opposition Leader is correct to demand the resignation of the PM in a motion of no confidence in the government," the PN said. The party is holding a protest march in Valletta on Sunday.
