A 34-year-old man from Marsascala suffered grievous injuries this morning in an early morning traffic accident in Marsa. 

The police said the two-car collision took place on the Marsa bypass at around 5.30am.

The collision took place between a Toyota Elf that was being driven by the 34-year-old man and a Toyota Vitz, which was being driven by a 24-year-old man from Msida.

The Marsaskala man suffered serious injuries. The 24-year-old was also admitted to hospital but his medical condition is not yet known.
