A bomb which targeted a police bus in central Istanbul left at least 11 people dead.
Officials say the bomb was remote-controlled and it detonated as the bus was passing through the Vezneciler district in Istanbul. The bomb detonated in the morning rush hour.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The explosion took place in the historic Beyazit square, a touristic attraction in Istanbul. At least 36 other people were injured in the attack.
Violence in Turkey escalated as tensions with the Kurdish separatists and the conflict in neighbouring Syria are still high.
