Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil today condemned the way Super One journalists tried to barge into the office where Nationalist MP Toni Bezzina works.

The incident happened yesterday, a day after Toni Bezzina lost two libel cases against former PL deputy leader Toni Abela and l-orizzont.

“I strongly condemn the Super One journalists who went to Mr Bezzina’s place of work, and with a scandalous attitude, tried to enter into his place of work,” Dr Busuttil told reporters this morning.

“You’re the party for the workers. Super One entered Toni Bezzina’s workplace, which is in the Department of Public works, which they are not supposed to enter. This means, someone, for political reasons, gave Super One access. This is a mentality where they allow the PL media to go wherever it wants. This is obscene and Transport Minister Joe Mizzi must explain.”

Asked to comment about this incident, the Transport Ministry said:

“Members of the public can enter Project House without pass, as per normal practice.

“When the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure was notified about the presence of a One crew this morning, they were immediately asked to move to the reception area or wait outside the building.

“MTI is informed that after some time, the crew left the building,” the ministry said.
