A 17-year-old girl from Dingli suffered grievous injury following a car crash in Mosta at around 5am.
It is understood that she is currently in critical condition. The girl was a passenger in a Toyota Vitz, which crashed into a wall on Triq Durumblat, Mosta. The driver of the vehicle was a 21-year-old man from Pieta’, whose medical condition is currently unknown.
In another incident involving two vehicles, a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 23-year-old man from Fgura, and a Hyundai accent dricen by a 52-year-old man from Zejtun collided on Triq il-Labour, Marsa. This incident took place at around 5.15am.
A passenger in the Hyundai, a 46-year-old woman, also from Zejtun, was taken to hospital following injuries. Her condition is currently not yet known.
In a third crash early this morning, two men were grievously injured after a van and a car collided head-on. The van, a Peugeot driven by a 50-year-old man collided into an Audi, driven by a 34-year-old Bulgarian man. A second Bulgarian man, aged 46, was also in the Audi at the time of the crash. The accident took place at around 7.30am on Triq it-Trunciera, Qawra. All three men are residents of St Paul’s Bay.
All three men were taken to hospital for their injuries. The driver of the Peugeot is not thought to be at risk of death, although he has been seriously injured. The 34-year-old Bulgarian driver is also suffering from serious injury but is not at risk of death, while the third man is thought to be suffering from slight injury.
