There have been one-hundred and twenty same-sex couples eneting a civil union since the law's introduction, according to statements made by Minister for Civil Liberties Helena Dalli.

Replying to a parliamentary question, Dr Dalli also said that there were also another fifteen couples who registered in Malta after completing a civil union abroad.
