As if we do not have already enough traffic problems, a trailer this morning was unable to continue its journey because it is higher than the bridge in Triq Santu Wistin, St. Julian's.

The result? The trailer blocked the whole traffic system in Paceville and the rest of St Julian's, already overburdened as it is because of ongoing works in Balluta Bay.

Pictures of this comical reason behind the extensive traffic in that area this morning circulated social media shortly after the forced road blockage became apparent.

Heavy traffic was already observed in the area before this happened, as Triq is-Swieqi, the neighbouring road atop the Triq Santu Wistin hill, was closed for roadworks.

Not to mention the already heavy traffic all over St Julian's and Sliema - starting off from San Gwann and Swieqi on one side and Gzira and Ta' Xbiex on the other, because of work going on in Balluta Bay.

Someone once said that traffic was just a perception. Go say that bto the hundreds of fuming drivers caught in our roads.
