Love will definitely be in the air, but so will high atmospheric pressure according to independent weather forecasters www.firstmalta.com– A system of high pressure is expected to reach the Maltese islands exactly on St. Valentine’s.
“The map shows the situation as expected late during the weekend, the lighter blue areas show a system of low pressure of around 1010hPa, whilst the red areas show a system of high pressure with around 1031hPa which will start engulfing the islands on Tuesday morning. Coincidentally, the air pressure will start, according to projections, rising on St. Valentine’s day, Tuesday 14th February and from 1022hPa during the morning, it will reach 1028hPa till night and by Wednesday 15th morning the high pressure will be around 1030hPa levels. This is expected to persist for a few days.”

“As a result fog and mist may occur over the islands during the morning and night which will continue to add to the Valentine’s romantic feel, whilst the air will become drier.
If you are planning any activity for Tuesday 14th the forecast shows that rain is not expected, however some wind might ruin any plans you had for a romantic outside evening.”
