Deputy Leader of the Nationalist Party Beppe Fenech Adami today called a press conference to insist that Joseph Muscat properly investigate the Drug Trafficking Case in Gozo.

Dr Fenech Adami called on the Prime Minister to point out who the Ministers involved were, to publish the terms of reference and to say when the inquiry will be closed.

"This is a new level of political involvement," said Dr Fenech Adami, "we have a Prime Minister who is more interested in the truth not being found out [..] till today he conducted a pretend investigation, contrary to other cases," following which Dr Beppe Fenech Adami mentioned his own CapitalOne case.

"Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has the power to establish who in his ministry had access to the ministry of Gozo on that night in October 2013," said Dr Fenech Adami, also stating that Prime Minister Joseph's  first priority should be to get out truth.

Dr Fenech Adami said that the Opposition will keep running after and following this story because "we have the power to get out the truth about the conditions of the current government with the criminal world. However, it is the Government that should be following the story and getting the truth out more."

PL reaction

"After hiding for three weeks due to the wage scandal, Simon Busuttil sent his Deputy Leader to address a press conference on allegations where they first relied on an anonymous letter," a PL press statement read.

The PL said that the information on persons involved will be made clear following the government appointed inquiry.

The PL indicated that in the CapitalOne case, a police investigation was also launched. The PL also said that Dr Busuttil is seeing the PN fall to pieces around him.
