A young man died this morning in a traffic accident in Aldo Moro Street, Marsa.

The youth was driving a Honda Civic which, for unknown reasons, left the road and mounted the pavement.

Police and Civil Protection Units were on site within minutes but the man was certified dead on site.

The victim has been named as Redeemer Tesi. 

Investigations are ongoing.

Magistrate Aaron Bugeja is leading and inquiry. 

According to news reports Mr Tesi was a motoring enthusiast.
