As promised, Nationalist Party candidate Salvu Mallia this morning went to place a bouquet of flowers at Fort St Elmo in Valletta, the site where disparaging remarks were written on a historic rock face. The remarks were made against him and PD leader Marlene Farrugia.

Speaking at a PN activity in Cospicua on Monday, Mr Mallia said "tomorrow I am going to put a bouquet of flowers in front of Fort St Elmo," as a sign of mourning and to send a message against this type of vandalism.
