The Nationalist Party is waiting for the conclusion of the auditor general’s report on the transfer of land currently occupied by the Institute of Tourism Studies before deciding on the way forward, Nationalist Party leader Simon Busuttil said today.
Whatever the outcome, he said, the ITS will remain in the hub of touristic activity, in St Julian’s.
If the auditor’s report finds irregularities in the way the land was transferred by the government to be developed by the db group into a tourist complex, then the ITS remains where it is.
If, the other hand, the report finds no irregularities, then a new PN government will look for an alternative piece of land where a new ITS will be built, Dr Busuttil said.
