The Nationalist Party is preparing for its final push to return to government after four years, with its last political event scheduled for this evening at the Granaries in Floriana.

The Opposition has based its campaign on allegations of corruption, with leader Simon Busuttil going as far as presenting evidence in court which has led to the opening of two magisterial inquiries, besides the one that was initiated by Prime Minister Muscat after allegations that his wife is the owner of Egrant, a company opened in Panama.

The PN has also presented three election manifestos, which include the general programme as well as two special plans for Gozo and youths.

PN leader Simon Busuttil has been insisting that this is an election on principles, not proposals.
