A picture of Jesus has been peeled off a billboard set up at the Msida skate park by New York Best pizza.

The 12-metre display showed Jesus Christ and his 12 Apostles eating a pizza, burgers and chips and drinking milkshakes.

Daniel Mercieca’s artwork raised eyebrows with many remarking on the social media that the idea was in bad taste.

It later emerged that the people behind the stunt were activists of the Patrijotti Maltin, who uploaded photos on the social media.
