After winning the first game, Luxol St. Andrews Futsal Club won the most difficult match in the qualifying group of the UEFA Futsal Cup in Austria, as they defeated the Champions of Macedonia KMF Shkupi 9-2.
This was the first time that a Maltese club won two games in a group and also was the biggest win for a Maltese club in this competition.
Luxol opened the score after 51 seconds with a goal by Brasilian Celino Alves, and few seconds later they doubled from Kristjan Grbesa. Shkupi reduced the margin, but Luxol reacted with three consecutive goals from Celino Alves, Emil Raducu and Hrvoje Penava to finish the first half in a 5-1 lead. Nikola Perkovic reduced the margin after the sixth goal by Nikola Perkovic, but Luxol scored another three goals by Grbesa and a brace by Vukovic.
On Saturday 26 August at 6pm Luxol will face Maccabi Tel Aviv and a point will be enough for Luxol to qualify for the first time.
