Valletta FC have completed the signing of Italian striker Matteo Piciollo.

Piciollo last played for Balzan, helping them to a second placing last season. Earlier he had enjoyed a good spell at Floriana FC.

The player has penned a two-year deal with an option for a third with the Lilywhites.

In other moves it is reported that Balzan are on the verge of reaching an agreement to add Hibernians defender Clayton Failla to their ranks.

And Hamrun Spartans added another flank midfielder to their squad after agreeing to sign Lydon Micallef  of Balzan.
